artist statement
Nicky Collins makes silverware for daily use and celebrating life. Her designs are pared down and minimal, emphasising the purity of the silver she uses.
Her tableware is inspired by relationships and parenthood, and explores the themes of balance and togetherness. The work also arouses curiosity and interest. You are invited to hold or play with it and to explore the ways in which the pieces interact with one another.
In addition to her bespoke work and production ranges, which she sells though her studio and selected galleries, Nicky also works to commisson.
